Job Title: Membership & Partnerships Officer
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Responsibilites
Business Developement and Revenue Generation:
- Develop andmaintaina robust business opportunity pipeline with qualified leads
- Conduct comprehensive market research toidentifyemerging opportunities in the health sector, policy advocacy, and technicalassistancemarkets
- Design and implement revenue generation strategies across membership fees, technicalassistance, training programs, and corporate partnerships
- Identifyand pursue high-valuemembersincludingcorporateentitiesinternational development organizationsand foundations.
- Develop compelling proposals, concept notes, and capability statements tailored toprospects’needs
- Lead pitch presentations and negotiations
- Close deals and ensure smooth transition to program delivery teams
- Negotiate sponsorship packages, service agreements, and commercial contracts
Strategic partnership Development:
- Identifyand qualify strategic partners including bilateral/multilateral agencies, foundations, academic institutions, and peer health networks
- Develop partnership value propositions and engagement frameworks
- Maintain an active partnership pipeline with regular progress tracking
- Lead partnership discussions and negotiations with potential collaborators
- Design partnership models (fee-for-service, co-funding, in-kind, advocacy alliances) that balance mission and sustainability
- Serve as primary relationship manager for strategic partners, ensuring regular engagement and value delivery
- Identifyopportunities to deepen existing partnerships into revenue-generating collaborations
- Coordinate high-level partnership meetings, joint planning sessions, and quarterly partnership reviews
- Represent PSHAN at industry forums, conferences, and networking events to build organizational visibility andidentifypartnership opportunities
Memebrship Growth and Developement:
- Design and execute member recruitment campaigns targetingtheorganized private sector, professional associations, private health providers, and individual practitioners
- Develop membership value propositions with clear benefits and tiered membership packages
- Achievequarterly member acquisition targets (minimum 1-2 new members per quarter)
- Implement member retention strategies tomaintain>85% annual renewal rateandidentifyopportunities to upsell premium membership tiers andadditionalservices
- Maintain and update membership database (CRM system) withaccuraterecords of interactions, renewals, and engagement levels
Fundraising and Resource Mobilization:
- Collaborate with program teams to develop competitive grant proposals, concept notes, and funding applications
- Write compelling business cases and value propositions for donor engagement
- Develop sponsorship packages and donor cultivation materials
- Support cultivation of relationships with institutional donors and philanthropic organizations
- Identifyopportunities for multi-year funding and institutional partnerships
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Health, Economics, Development Studies or any relevant Social Science field.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong business development and deal‑closing skills
- Excellent proposal writing, concept note development, and presentation abilities
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Market research and opportunity scanning in private sector and development space.
- Ability to design value propositions and partnership models
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Understanding of donor funding environments (local and global)
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams (Program, Finance, Comms, Executive Leadership).
